Our little artists. They made a huge mess, but at least it's washable sidewalk chalk. What made it better was when they found getting chalk wet makes it even messier and brighter. Seriously they colored the walls, ground, windows, arms, legs, hands, anything. Plus they can start again tomorrow, after the morning rain washes the old drawings away.
My kids havn't tried painting the house with chalk, but they love to paint their faces with it, plus the sidewalk.
